Shimane Prefecture (7 types of seafood) was second in the prefectures with the highest catches and types of seafood that will be in season in November. Shimane Prefecture has been in the top 3 for the second straight month.

In Shimane, the following seven types of fish and shellfish will be in season in November.

“Oki Matsuba Crab” (season: November-February) has been selected as the winter “PRIDE FISH” in Shimane Prefecture, which is selected by Japan Fisheries Cooperatives. It is exactly the king of winter taste on the Sea of Japan side. Matsuba crab is the name for the male snow crab in the Sanin region. I once ate Matsuba crab sashimi in Shimane prefecture.
