Lunch
I was going to eat the “Hatto Zen” of the local cuisine of Iwate Prefecture in “the brewery restaurant Seki no ichi” (a 10-minute walk from JR Ichinoseki Station) in Ichinoseki, but did not go Unfortunately in the regular holiday of the restaurant.

I had lunch at “Sansaikan Fujisei” in Ichinoseki (a 2-minute walk from the west exit of JR Ichinoseki Station). Japanese people eat mochi during the New Year, but they don’t eat much except during the New Year. However, Ichinoseki has a culture of eating mochi on a daily basis, and I also had “Hitokuchi Mochi Gozen” for lunch. “Hitokuchi Mochi Gozen” contains 8 small mochi (natto mochi, walnut mochi, june mochi, anko mochi, zuda mochi, ginger mochi, sesame mochi, shrimp mochi) in addition to the mochi in the Ozoni ( Japanese traditional soup). The taste of all mochi is different. All kinds of rice cakes were very delicious and it was a very satisfying lunch.
Craft beer
I had “TONO beer (HAZY IPA)”, a craft beer from Tono City, Iwate Prefecture, at JR Ichinoseki Station. It was a delicious beer. I don’t know the reason, but there are many Pokemon Pikachu at JR stations in Iwate prefecture.
Dinner
I headed to Kesennuma from Geibikei and had a supper in Kesennuma city. Kesennuma City is located at the northern end of Miyagi Prefecture and is adjacent to Rikuzentakata City in Iwate Prefecture. Since there is no prefectural border on the sea, I think you can eat the same kind of fish and shellfish in Kesennuma City and Rikuzentakata City. Therefore, in Kesennuma City, we will eat seasonal fish from Miyagi prefecture and seasonal fish from Iwate prefecture.

In Kesennuma, I had dinner at the izakaya “Fukuyoshi”. During the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, the restaurant was washed away by the tsunami and collapsed, but the owner rebuilt it again. This photo is an object made of abalone shell.
The fish and shellfish that I ate around the hearth was the best. I was also able to eat the rare shark heart sashimi. Among the seasonal seafood, I was able to eat bonito and scallop sashimi. Besides, vinegared mackerel, seared spanish mackerel, and botan shrimp were all delicious. I wanted to revisit Kesennuma just to eat fish and shellfish.
