Seafood in season in Nov (2nd place Nagasaki)
Table of contents
Introduction
Nagasaki Prefecture (7 types of seafood) was second in the prefectures with the highest catches and types of seafood that will be in season in November. Nagasaki Prefecture has retreated from 1st place to 2nd place, which has continued since July, but it is still in the top 3 for 5 consecutive months.
In Nagasaki Prefecture, the following seven types of fish and shellfish will be in season in November.
Fish
conger eel, yellowtail, butterfish, mackerel, hairtail, flounder, Japanese amberjack
PRIDE FISH
Japan Fisheries Cooperatives has selected “Nagasaki cultured bluefin tuna” (season: November-February) and “Nagasaki Torafugu (cultured tiger puffer)” (season: November-March) as “PRIDE FISH” in winter in Nagasaki Prefecture. In Nagasaki Prefecture, where natural fish is so abundant, I’m a little skeptical that cultured fish will be selected for “PRIDE FISH,” but even if it’s cultured, it’s probably quite delicious. Next time I go to Nagasaki in winter, I would like to eat it.
Nagasaki Prefecture is one of the leading producers of cultured bluefin tuna in Japan, and its production volume is the highest in Japan. In addition, Nagasaki Prefecture’s cultured tiger puffer production is the largest in Japan, accounting for more than 50% of the national production.
