Delicious season for 300 seafood in Japan  

外国人旅行者の皆さんに、日本の様々な魚介類を一番美味しい時期に美味しい場所で食べて欲しい。そう考え、約300種類にわたる魚介類の旬カレンダーを、都道府県別に作成しました。
このリストは 全国漁業協同組合連合会が選定した「PRIDE FISH」のサイトを参考にしました。 「PRIDE FISH」とは「漁師が選んだ、本当においしい魚」です。 そのため、このリストを参考にすれば、一番美味しい魚介類を食べられるはずです。 日本の魚介類の旬の詳細は、多くの日本人もよく知りません。ましてや、外国人にとっては、更に分かりにくいでしょう。外国人旅行者が日本各地を訪問し、食事をする際の参考にして頂ければ幸いです。

1. Introduction

We want foreign visitors to eat a variety of Japanese seafood at the best time of year and in the best places. With this in mind, we have created a seasonal calendar of approximately 300 different types of seafood, prefecture by prefecture.
This list is based on the PRIDE FISH website, selected by the Japan Fisheries Co-operative. PRIDE FISH is a list of “really tasty fish selected by fishermen”. Therefore, by referring to this list, you should be able to eat the most delicious seafood. Many Japanese people do not know the details of the season for Japanese seafood. And for foreigners, it can be even more difficult to understand. We hope that this list will be of some help to foreign visitors when they visit and dine in various parts of Japan.
